The story was about this girl who had a drug addicted mother. She has these neighbors (they lived in a poor environment) who she became sort of friends with. There were 3 of them, there was the older brother who i think was in his late teens, then the middle brother (he was around her age and i think she was 14), then there was the baby brother. Zaq Khan, the endearing Sikh hero of Brothers in Blood, is utterly convincing too. He has had a rough time, with a spell in prison. He gets a job after his release; his boss orders him to find his runaway daughter. He cannot refuse, even though his efforts bring him into dangerous conflict with the local baddies.
